Equipment Installed:
- Johnston 750 HP Steam Boiler
- Industrial Steam Deaerator
- Wilson Engineering Blowdown Separator
- Cain Single Stage Economizer
The customer had an inadequate 1920 era converted coal fired water tube boiler that required them to shut down part of the plant operations when their 500 HP Johnston was down for maintenance. CSI had installed a Limpsfield high efficiency burner on the 500 HP Johnston that was already there, along with a Cain stack economizer. The project was so successful the customer wanted a second Johnston/Limpsfield when it came time to replace the old water tube. CSI demolished the old water tube and removed it. CSI then installed a new Industrial Steam DA and removed the old DA to make room for the new Johnston 750 HP 4 pass steam generator. CSI installed
the boiler along with new steam piping, new FW piping, new catwalks and reconfigured the primary steam valves to meet all boiler codes. The customer now has complete boiler redundancy and a completely modernized boiler room.
